Über mich:
Ich komme aus Indien und bin nach Basel gezogen, um meinen Bachelor in Jazz zu machen. Schon immer wollte ich Lehrer werden, und jetzt studiere ich Pädagogik im Master am Jazzcampus.Ich habe jahrelang auf der Bühne gestanden, verschiedene Instrumente aus verschiedenen Kulturen gelernt und sowohl online als auch offline in einer Institution unterrichtet. Als freiberuflicher Lehrer habe ich in den letzten 7 Jahren viele unterschiedliche Schüler unterrichtet.
Lehrmethoden:
Mein Ziel als Lehrer ist es, die individuellen Bedürfnisse jedes Schülers aus verschiedenen Perspektiven zu verstehen und einen Lehrplan zu entwickeln, der für sie funktioniert. Ich bemühe mich, die Beziehung des Schülers zur Musik zu erkennen und zu beurteilen, wie tief sie verschiedene Themen erkunden möchten. Darüber hinaus ist es mir wichtig, den kulturellen Aspekt des Unterrichts zu berücksichtigen, da ich mit Schülern und Lehrern aus verschiedenen Hintergründen gearbeitet habe. Ein weiterer wichtiger Bestandteil meines Lehransatzes ist das Sammeln von Feedback von Schülern, von ihnen zu lernen und zu verstehen, wie ich ihr Wachstum unterstützen kann. Glücklicherweise bin ich von anderen Lehrern umgeben, mit denen ich regelmässig Ideen und Methoden austausche, um sowohl mir als auch meinen Schülern zugutekommen. Ich habe immer Interesse daran, neue Menschen kennenzulernen und Ideen auszutauschen, und freue mich immer darauf, mit jedem Schüler eine neue Reise zu beginnen. Ich biete Unterricht auf Englisch, Deutsch und Hindi an.

About me:
I'm from India and moved to Basel to pursue my Bachelor’s in Jazz. I've always had a passion for teaching, and now I’m studying for my Master’s in Pedagogy at Jazzcampus. I’ve performed on stage for many years, learned instruments from different cultures, and taught in an institution both online and in-person. As a freelancer over the past 7 years, I’ve had the chance to teach a wide range of students.
Teaching methodology:
My goal as a teacher is always to understand the individual needs of each student from multiple perspectives and to build a curriculum that works for them. I strive to recognize the student's relationship with music and gauge how deeply they wish to explore different topics. Additionally, it is important for me to consider the cultural aspect of teaching, as I have worked with both students and teachers from diverse backgrounds. Another key element of my teaching approach is gathering feedback from students, learning from them, and understanding how I can support their growth. Fortunately, I have been surrounded by other teachers with whom I regularly exchange ideas and methods to benefit both myself and my students. I am always interested in meeting new people and exchanging ideas, and always look forward to starting a new journey with each student.
